Ghana’s Floods Expose a Growing Human Security Crisis
The devastating floods that swept through parts of Ghana following torrential rains are a vivid illustration of a reality reshaping development planning across Africa: climate-related disasters are no longer exceptional events to be managed with emergency responses but recurring human security challenges whose frequency and intensity are increasing.
